Hi, everyone!

I know I’m behind on some updates (regarding my Morse code project, some reviews), but I did want to let you know about something I’m really excited about. On top of creating a youtube channel (I finally took the plunge) and my other writing projects, I’m starting a podcast.

Why?

It’s one of my assignments for the narrative online content class. Even though my teacher only wants a script of the podcast (with music cues and sound effects written in), I’ve been wanting to start a podcast for a while and this is the perfect opportunity to do so. The idea that I have so far is based on tarot cards. I can’t go into too much detail because I haven’t heard of anyone doing this yet and I’d like to be the first. It’s not some “wow!” idea, but it’s definitely exciting for me.

Of course, there will be more updates in the days to come. I’m hoping to have a script for the first episode within the next two weeks, and then I plan to continue on without the class. Maybe film some audio and write other episodes. It’s going to be a story and once it’s out there in the world, I can’t exactly retract anything. So it has to be good.

But I’m excited! And terrified. It’s definitely going to push me to learning more and more about tarot, the different meanings, etc. It feels like the push I’ve been waiting for.

Besides the new idea, I haven’t been up to much. I’ve been working on my other two writing projects: my feature film adaptation and my screenplay version of the first few chapters of Blood of the Fallen. It’s funny how once I started reoutlining Blood of the Fallen (yet again), the screenplay became easier and easier to write. I almost regret starting Blood of the Fallen as a novel. Can I sell a screenplay as a book? Would you guys read it?

Either way, the finished draft will go into my portfolio once I’m finished, as will all of my literary projects.

I’m trying to stay busy and having homework assignments is helping me accomplish this. As far as youtube channel content, the first few weeks of videos may be focused on tarot. As we all know, that’s not all there is to me, but for the sake of the podcast and creating “bonus content”, that’s the goal for now. I’m hoping to throw in some knitting videos and writing ones, too.

I consider my blog to be my outlet for talking about my life, like how youtubers nowadays “vlog” their life. I “blog” mine. I wouldn’t want to film every day, ya know?

But . . . I’m still excited for the days to come. I’m going to be sure to keep you all updated. I want to see if I can consistently upload on Thursdays for the next few weeks. I’d be proud of myself, considering how inconsistent I used to be.

I would have kept uploading my videos here, but it was harder than I thought. The first two vlogs were a piece of cake, but the longer videos never made it into WordPress’s “media” file, so . . . Youtube it is. 😂😅

I hope you all are doing well. Please let me know if you need anything.

Please stay safe!
