Sharing my goals for winter and books on my tbr

December 1st, 2022

I have returned with a quick post to share a few of my goals with you for this winter. For simplicity’s sake, we will say the winter starts today (December 1st) and ends on February 28th.

I revised my outline for Blood of the Fallen by hand, so for the next few months, I want to continue fleshing out the outline. I’d like to begin writing the new draft by the end of this month, maybe around Christmas. I’m still trying to figure out the tarot quizzes because I think that could be a fun adventure. In my last post, I mentioned a book called Beautiful and how I was only fifteen (15) pages in. I’m going to see if I can finish the book this month to complete this year’s goal of finishing thirteen (13) books.

In the meantime, I will be updating my website and cultivating some self-discipline. I have wasted enough time not writing. Writing the finer details about the events in Blood of the Fallen is treating me well. I’m nervous to hop on my computer and “seal” in these new ideas, but I have hope that the new draft will be easier to write this time around.

I have a feeling that following my old writing schedule from high school may also yield some surprising results. Since the composition book saved the day, I imagine I’ll fall back into rhythm following my old hours. It’s worth a try.

In my TBR are the following books:

  • Big Magic, by Elizabeth Gilbert
  • On the Wings of a Winter Heart, by Rebecca Lovell
  • The Bluest Eye, by Toni Morrison
  • Renegade, by Marissa Meyer

I started watching How To Get Away With Murder and The Sopranos. I realized both shows are darker than I expected, so I think I’m going to take a break on watching them and shift my attention to Supernatural and The Good Place. I can’t work up the courage to watch E.R. without Mark Greene, but it is calling out to me. The Handmaid’s Tale is calling me back, too, but the show is so depressing that I’m not sure if I can finish it.

I’ll share more with you soon when there’s more to share. I hope everyone stays safe. ๐Ÿ˜Š
